Breeding and Showing ML Dachshunds
We are a mother and daughter team living in Southwestern Wisconsin
among the beautiful lakes and rolling hills. We live close to the
Wisconsin Dells area and among the many surrounding lakes in the
area. We are located within sixty miles of the state capitol in Madison,
WI.
My name is Andrea Sletten and my mother's name is Cindy Baldwin.
Our love of the Dachshund breed began several years ago when we
inherited a small Black and Tan female from a friend of mine.
Roxie was very small and we were surprised when she whelped five
puppies. All the puppies were healthy and adoreable. We were
fortunate that many of our friends were eager to obtain a puppy from
us. All the puppies were placed in very loving homes.
So began our love of Dachshunds!
We are a small show home and we have chosen our foundation
Dachshunds very carefully from some of the top lines. Most of our
foundation dogs have either champion sires and/or dams.
Our lines are from champion lines out of South Africa, United
Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. Our
dachshunds lines come out of some of the top kennels such as,
Stoneleigh, Ralines, Tanska, Maundowne,GrandGables, Sleepytime,
Packers, and many others of distinction.
Our goal first and foremost is to raise happy and healthy Dachshunds
that conform to the AKC standard. Our Dachshunds are raised in our
home,they are well socialized and are all members of our family.
Our foundation Dachshunds are English Creams, Black and
Cream,Black and Tan,Chocolate and Tan, Chocolate and Tan Dapple.
Since we are a small show home, we will be holding back any show
potentials.
We will occasionally have puppies available for companions with a
spay/neuter contract. All of our puppies will come with their first
puppy shots, worming and be vet checked. We guarantee their health.
All of our puppies come from champion lines and are AKC registered.
Look for our show results periodically. We will try to keep everyone
posted as to our progress and we are very grateful to Kathy
Brancheau from Katydox, Guy Jeavons and Mark McMillian from
GrandGables, Margaret Stone from Stoneleigh and Claire McPhail from
Ceedox for giving us a chance
to start with a solid foundation.
